Endocrinology
Patients are clinically monitored and followed up at
regular intervals by the Endocrinologist.
A General assessment is conducted during each
check-up, insisting on the detection and early
treatment of complications.
Good diabetes control provides hope for slowing down
or preventing the progression of the long-term
complications of the disease. All patients are
evaluated and instructed about retinopathy,
nephropathy, neuropathy, cardiovascular
complications and foot care.
Nursing
Providing patients with basic education concerning
diabetes, helping them become self-sufficient with
regards insulin injections, blood glucose testing
and management of acute complications (hypo/hyper –
glycemia, ketosis).
